Early Sunday Morning Rant………7/24/11

If you follow me on twitter then you know that I have the tendency to vent pretty often when certain things strike my attention, both pos/neg, but usually the latter…… So here they are presented in society’s newest form of an essay: 140 Characters….

p.s. There’s no method to this madness so most of it might come off as pure randomness.

1. I hate this business because of its accessibility. Any and everybody can say they’re in this “industry”; even tho they don’t do shit.

2. If u wanted to be a doctor, lawyer, politician, engineer, etc you’d have to go thru years of school/training to do so…. Not for music tho

3. Please tell me how Im supposed 2 politely turn self-proclaimed “industry” ppl away when they ask 4 my contact 2 “build” when I know its bs?

4. Go to school, invest time in finding what you’re possibly interested in, and pursue a career in that, but OMIT entertainment from the list

5. Don’t make music/entertainment biz ur 1 and only priority. Do it as a hobby. I did it as a hobby while getting my engineering degree.

6. I got lucky and caught a few breaks from passionately grinding in this “hobby” so I stuck with it AFTER I received my degree

7. And stop coming up behind the dj grabbing him/her by the collar, shoulder, arm, or anything at all. Shits annoying as FUCK!

8. Re-evaluate the reason u are approaching the dj before u do so. He’s working hard and hates being interrupted.

9. Would u walk into the operating room to fuck wit the surgeon while he’s in the middle of surgery?? Fuck no… Same thing applies to the DJ
